The Everglades

Experience the thrill of the wilderness in the Everglades. Home to over 200,000 alligators, this natural habitat is the best place to see both large and small reptiles up close and to learn more about these incredible c​reatures.​

Glide across the natural marshland in a speedy airboat - the best way to see the flora and fauna. Alternatively, enjoy one of the exciting wildlife shows which are performed every hour. These shows give you the opportunity to hold a baby crocodile, see the alligators chomping down on a hearty meal or have your picture taken with a huge snake.

Enjoy a walking trail around the farm to see the many creatures which reside in the park - from tiny baby alligators and huge ancient crocodiles to exotic snakes and intimidating caimans. Don't forget to visit the park's most famous resident, the 14ft giant alligator named 'Grandpa'.

Coral Reef State Park

Turtle hospital

Take a guided tour around the Turtle Hospital to witness first-hand how injured turtles are rescued and taken care of in the facility.

This interesting and educational experience not only covers the parts of the hospital which are open to the public, but also delves behind the scenes so you can really appreciate all the hard work which goes into taking care of the turtles rescued by the hospital.

Some turtles will permanently remain there due to conditions which would not allow them to survive in the wild. Since these turtles are perfectly healthy and are always looking for new visitors to interact with, each tour concludes with the opportunity to get up close and personal and hand feed these incredible creatures.

Artisan village

A must-see for all art lovers, The Rain Barrel Artisan Village comprises the studios, galleries and shops of numerous different artists.

Here you can find all sorts of interesting pieces of artwork - paintings, pottery, jewellery, glass-work, lamps and many other unique items. Every item on display in the village is hand-made and would make a perfect one-of-a-kind souvenir of your holiday.

As well as a wide collection of art displays, the Rain Barrel also includes a breakfast bar and snack stand. Also run by the artists of the village, these two eateries sell delicious homemade pastries, sandwiches and ice cream, as well as a wide variety of drinks.
